Audition
1. Instruments
Principal Trombone – 1 (Depending on the concert, it may be necessary to play the 2nd part.)
2. Qualification
Those who are judged by the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra to have artistic and personal qualifications as an orchestral player (regardless of nationality).
3. Process
a. Pre-selection using documentation

b. Skills audition (1st and 2nd Rounds)

c. Interview
d. Try-out performance as an orchestral player (3rd Round)*
*Those who pass a, b and c will be asked to play in the orchestra for 6 months as a trainee under a performance contract.

a. F. David: 1st mov., 4 measures before Rehearsal [A] ~ 1st beat of Rehearsal [D] from Trombone Concertino in E flat major, Op.4*
*must play with accompanist *use Zimmermann edition
b. Orchestra Excerpts
6. How to apply
a. Send a handwriting resume with photo and detailed musical experience list by airmail to the address below.
b. If a non-Japanese resume, attach a typed resume with Japanese translation.
c. Use the resume form*.
*Must be able to download as a PDF file from official website.

7. Others
a. Applicants must arrange for their own accompanist*.
*We can introduce accompanists in Japan.
b. Only those who pass the 1st Round will advance to the 2nd Round.
c. Orchestra Excerpts* will be sent by E-mail to applicants who pass the pre-selection using documentation after the application deadline.
*An appointment date and time for the audition will be also specified then.
d. Resumes will be disposed of properly after auditions.
